Many years ago, in the early 1990s, Champion Software wrote us a bespoke solution for the control of our printing jobs.
At the time, there wasn’t a suitable ready-made application so I sat down with Mike and we developed our own.
I still use the software on a daily basis, but am considering having a replacement system written as there are many
new features that I’d now like—and it’s a good opportunity to update the rest of the system to a modern platform.
In the early days of computing, before Windows, Champion Software wrote us several pieces
of custom written software for our electrical shop, repair department and TV/Video rental business.
These solutions were reliable, easy to use and just what we wanted.
I struggled to control our storage and van hire business using a combination of spreadsheets and other software.

Champion Software started developing us a system a few years ago to assist us with the control of our business
(we were trying ourselves using Excel and Access). The initial software was good but, due to other commitments,
I put things on hold for a few years. We’ve recently resumed from where we left off and are in the process of
completing and enhancing the software. Mike suggested that the system was redeveloped from scratch as a web based
application as remote access is now very important to us—this has been done at no extra cost, we’re just paying
for the extra features. The system’s still under development but looks good so far and the whole development process
is quite painless with regular emails giving me progress reports.
We wanted a simple solution for keeping track of our clients’ colour and perming records.

The whole development process was painless and efficient, there were no hidden costs even though some features were added after the
initial quote was accepted. We are delighted with the system, it's so simple to use and saves us hours of work each day.
